Biogas

We have delivered some of the most efficient biogas plants in the UK where we focus on high biogas yields from advanced anaerobic digestion technology. We utilise digestion technology which has low parasitic power useage and minimal fossil fuel demands so that our plants will always achieve the highest possible net renewable energy credits.

Biogas, containing methane, is a valuable by-product of anaerobic digestion which can be utilised in the production of renewable energy.

Monsal provide a suite of technology for collection, storage, handling, treatment and utilisation of biogas technology. This includes:

Biogas Technology

Biogas technology can be converted to energy via suitable technologies including reciprocating engines. Monsal's specialist teams can advise on all aspects of CHP implementation from initial process audits, CHP selection and specification to full design build capability. Integration of CHP with anaerobic digestion including heat recovery is a core competence in creating electricity from biogas.
