Autodesludging for Sedimentation Plant

Monsal Airflow units are provided for economical and automatic desludging of primary and humus sedimentation tanks. These robust units are ideally suited for remote sites with infrequent visits. 95% of sites can be retrofitted without taking the tanks out of service.

Monsal Airflow units use the airlift principle for pumping and rely upon the dispersion of air bubbles causing a reduction in the density of sludge in the bellmouth. This density differential promotes sludge flow from the tank into the bellmouth.

Monsal Airflow units incorporate duty or duty/standby blowers, valves, fully welded 316 stainless steel manifold, hose connections, and a Monsal SMART Controller mounted within our proprietary control panels. The package can be housed within a GRP kiosk or within an existing building.

These low cost units can desludge up to 4 No. sedimentation tanks from a single unit, blowers are oil free. The system is non intrusive and very low maintenance. The control settings are fully operator adjustable for each individual tank and provide enhanced control due to our pulsed removal system.

Product range

Monsal Airflow units are available in four standard models covering 1,2,3 and 4 sedimentation tanks. Manifold and frame are constructed from stainless steel. A high quality GRP weatherproof IP55 enclosure is available for the controls with low noise output (nominally 66dBa). Standard power supply is 415V, 50Hz with 110V control.
